I suppose this is the crux of the problem. As usual, there are conflicting rumours coming out and the use of social media by the players is, as always, muddying the waters.

As I've already said, if the rumours are true then Kev is bang out of order. If however something rather different took place then my opinion would naturally alter to reflect that. Can you share any info?

I've just seen the social media stuff from both Kev and Morgan and then a journo I know who knows much more than I do about internal affairs saying that it wasn't purely that they were 'messing around'.

Apparently they were told after the recovery/light training session on Friday that they weren't to be in the squad for the weekend. Saturday's session as such was focusing more on team shape etc for the Watford game, and Duncan wasn't happy with their (lack of) discipline in that session.

So I suppose it's a mix of the stories coming together to make the truth - as it always is.

It's not right on part of the players and if they indeed were sent home they should be dealt with internally but, since they have both apologised, I think it's best to move on.

I like Baningime but if we are to improve then I think an in-form Schneiderlin is key to that. Of course he hasn't been in form this season, but in terms of general quality then there's only one winner for me at this moment in time between those two players.

As for Kev, I think he deserves a place in the 18 based on his few performances this season. If he can offer us something from now until January, when I do think we'll cash in and he'll get the move he needs to try and secure that WC place, then I'm fine with that.

However, his response to this scenario has been APPALLING. The one place to make a clear statement, week in and week out, that the manager should be picking you is ON THE TRAINING PADDOCK. I coach a sport myself, at university level: if you start acting up in training, then my patience with you expires very, very rapidly. Senior players should, at all times, be setting an example in terms of paying attention and working hard.

If the story re Kev and Schneiderlin is true then I would be looking to offload Kev in January. He's 30, he's lost some pace, we have some alternatives out wide (Lennon, Lookman, Vlasic - maybe even Bolasie, but I wouldn't count on him after that injury) and there may be suitors for him. If Olympiacos make a serious bid, rather than the laughable fake offer they put out in social media over the summer, then I would wave him goodbye and rue what might have been.
Oumar Niasse is an example of how Kev should have handled the situation. Get your head down and play. Don't act like a 5 year old.

Appears he will wait to see who our new manager is before deciding on his future. I guess this means if Unsworth he will jump before pushed, if someone new will try and get into their good books before spitting his dummy out again.
I hope we just get rid of him as this fella overall has offered very little on the pitch and off the pitch has just caused trouble

Unsworth is the 3rd manager now that appears to have fallen out with him, it's no coincidence. Maybe he is frustrated in not playing, but when he does play he is massively inconsistent during games and also game by game. If he has the attitude that is report he really isn't worth it at all. Happy to sell him in January. I wonder how different his career would have been if he chose Arsenal all them years ago?

Get rid of this disruptive bad egg.

I'm fed up reading how he's "waiting to see what happens before he decides whether to stay" like he's in any position to dictate whether or not he gets picked every week....and then he doesn't bother his arse in training. Spoilt brat sound about him.

Even if a manager who he likes comes in, one team selection where he's not involved and he'll be storming off to his room in the huff again and blurting out his dissatisfaction to anyone who'll listen.

Enjoy West Ham Kevin.

I wouldn't mind if he was even a bit good, but... he's really not.

It's like Titus Bramble having an ego that believes he's Beckenbauer.

weird one this, whereas I agree niasse's attitude and application is perfect, that's all he can do to break into the first team because in terms of football ability I'd go as far as saying he is the worst player in the whole squad, he is absolute dire at football but he makes things happen because of his work rate

Kev, is probably one of the most talented in the squad and probably has a hissy fit seeing some of the players getting played infront of him, which I can understand, he has to perform in training to be picked, but seen as these allegations haven't been there since game 1 in the season when he wasn't getting picked anyway he's understandably frustrated

Ah people hating him again.

Until he does something good again. Then it you'll all like him again.

Rinse and repeat.

He's a waste of time because he has got talent but doesn't choose to mach it with a positive attitude, I get of folk in this thread saying 'It's understandable he's frustrated' 'He's not been given enough opportunity' he's been at Everton now for five and a half years, he's had more than enough opportunities and he's wasted every chance he's been given and it's criminal because of his talent.

At 30 he's now in the last chance saloon but I would rather it was elsewhere (OK West Ham if you're pushing me) I'm afraid he'll be best remembered for this unarmed combat moment.
