Ronald Koeman discussion

It is mad init?

Surely we've been identifying replacements since Lukaku rejected the contract offer???

That said, the problems run deeper than the striker issue. I genuinely believe even with Lukaku in this side we wouldn't be too many points better off.

While I agree we have other quite major issues, our lack of anything potent up top is the key one. For me anyway.

We offer zero threat. So teams have nothing to worry about when playing us. A striker with any threat would have been a focal point for attacks. We simply don’t have that now. Which in turn leads to large spells of pressure against us which the back line can’t deal with.

Don't worry mate.
Sean Dyche will bring in Jay Rodriguez, Andre Gray and Troy Deeney in January.
Joey Barton back after his ban to replace Ross..

Nil SATIS.

I am past worrying :(

Now I am just resigned to us taking our place alongside the Stokies, Sainties and Baggies in making up the numbers for Sky to showcase their super duper “Top Six” parade.

I mean, can you imagine Sky deciding to scrap coverage of a Spurs or RS match in favour of a Championship game?

But at least we are big in Bombay and Delhi

We must be as they showed the game live over there.

Sean Dyche, you say.

:)

Welcome to the new normal.

Little did we know we had stepped on to the Pardew/Big Eck/Mark Hughes merry go round when we signed up the Dutch Allerdyce last year

But it’s all good :celebrate:

A few spurious (is that even a word) rumours from Twitface that Kenwright was annoyed after today.

Not that it means anything of course.

I watched the game on NBC and after the full time whistle they panned around the away end, then focused on Bill for a good 10-15 seconds. He was visibly annoyed/unhappy.

At the end of the day Rooney isn't the problem and certainly DCL isn't the problem so both you & @orly are right! The problem is Koeman!! Get rid now for God sake Everton.

Definitely. The only players, and i'm very wont to do this, that deserve individual criticisms for me are Ashley Williams, Morgan Schneiderlin and Gylfi Siggurdsson. Whilst others are suffering from tactics and formation and obviously confidence, these 3 only in my opinion of course are woefully under-performing and are still mostly getting starting places.

I for the life of me cannot see what Schneiderlin offers in the middle, Siggurdsson is just struggling and seems to be carrying his transfer fee around with him and Williams is a bloody disgrace of a defender.

Koeman needs to carry the can for all of this and has outstayed his welcome in my fading eyes.

Years ago I would have thought that Bill would willingly throw a manager under a bus to save his own skin.

But how wrong that theory turned out. We were dropping like a stone before he got rid of Walter and keeping his pet Roberto as long as he did was insane.

We didn't sign a striker last season neither despite wanting one. Sorry we loaned a player west ham didn't want and went with that.

My question which makes me wonder is how can koeman happily sit in his job knowing the club didn't bring in the one player he publically asked For? When the form has dropped to this extent and things are going so badly , yet it was the club that failed him in bringing a striker to actually win games for him. If you look at it from another perspective, the lack of his striker he wanted and told us about has pretty much handicapped his team and yet he carries on. I know the short answer is the money he is getting paid , but does that not speak volumes about the man we have in charge for the fact he is so happy to get on with it despite the fact the club can sign anyone except the one player he needed?

I'll give you either 1 or 6 million reasons, whichever you would like.
