Ronald Koeman discussion

I would have to agree with everything Lee Molton said here in the red rags fans view article.

Hooray there is an international break and a week free of misery!

It was another poor display on Sunday against a well-organised Burnley side. The team look very disjointed with no width and no confidence either. There are too many sideways and backwards passes, it is very easy to defend against. We are struggling to score goals.

The players need to take some responsibility as their performances have been nowhere near good enough but Koeman must also take his fair share of blame in his team selections and tactics.

Tom Davies is not a regular, Lookman does not even get a game and Williams is a regular, despite his poor performances. Koeman persists in playing two defensive midfielders in Gueye and Schneiderlin and this is stopping us from going forward.

I think Koeman has got six more games to save his job starting with Brighton next weekend – we have to start winning league games quickly.

We have two crucial Europa League games against Lyon, we can’t afford to lose these otherwise we will be out of Europe too.

If results don’t pick up in these next six games, then it is time for Koeman to go. We are paying him an awful lot of money and he has spent nearly £140m, we should be doing a lot better and aiming for top six not being in the bottom six.

If losing the next 2 means he's gone, I hope we lose the next 2.

There, I've said it.

Never felt that way about an Everton manager & hope I never do again.

This is absolutely baffling to me.

Improved last season. Got us back to the minimum we expect to be, and had a superb home record. Played youngsters and we played some good stuff and returned to Europe.

The start to the season has been really poor. And while if he did go then he'd only have himself to blame, why any fan would advocate wishing their team to lose is beyond me.

He was let down at the end of the window and I think now Moshiri realises this - hence the backing. It showed how much we needed a few more players in, and Walsh and the board ultimately have a lot to answer for in that regard.

Koeman himself has a lot to answer for as he doesn't seem to have a 'plan' as of yet, and if that doesn't improve then he'll go.

But to want the team to lose. Nah mate, do one on that.

Liverpool Echo fan Jury. Every one of them saying Koeman needs more time. The consensus being at least 6 more games.

FAKE NEWS

It's not happening this break Tim so just leave it.

You may want him gone, but it isn't happening. He is getting more time.

If we don't get some big wins/confidence soon, then he'll be gone. But no point pushing something that isn't happening now.

I hope he sticks with the 4-4-2 for Brighton

3-4-1-2 for me Mikey - I just think it's our best system at this time given the personnel we have - as long as he plays the right players.

i.e.

Pickford

Holgate
Keane
Jagielka (fitness an issue)

Kenny
Davies
Schneiderlin/Gana
Baines

Sigurdsson

Rooney
DCL

Something like that. And tell Wayne to get a grip and stay up top, not drift around. Be a striker. If not, you're out of the side.

That at least gives us some width in Kenny, and energy in midfield and pace in defence in Holgate.

Waiting till Christmas is amateurish and pathetic. He should have been told that the next 2 games are must win or you're out. We need a league win cause 16th is unacceptable and we need to beat Lyon at home or we're out. Ambitious clubs don't say let's look again at Christmas regardless of the situation.

Ronald Koeman has landed at Barcelona airport El Prat and intends to spends a few days in the Catalan city, report Sport.

The Everton manager arrived in Barcelona from Majorca, and is there for a mini holiday, taking advantage of the international break.

Sport say it’s a chance for the Dutchman to escape his difficult situation at Everton, after a challenging start to the season.

Koeman has even seen his Goodison Park future called into question following the home defeat to Burnley, and he’ll be hoping things change for the better when domestic football kicks off again.

The Catalan newspaper point out that Koeman is well thought of in Barcelona, a hero for fans after his European Cup final goal.

Whilst he’s repeatedly been linked with taking over at the Camp Nou, those chances seem a long way off now, with Koeman struggling at Everton, and Ernesto Valverde settling in well at Barcelona.

Enjoy your holiday Ronald you deserve it.
Hopefuly Barcelona offer him a job.

But what if he wins the next two and then loses the next couple ? That why you're simply delaying the inevitable surely . I think it's probably over but I don't think it's practical to give him a couple of games I think he'll get to Christmas

If results haven't turned around in the next few weeks Tim, i'm fully behind him getting the sack.

I mean, all of the players are on holiday/international duty.

There's no one at FF.

They've all been given time off which maybe in this case is needed.

They'll be back in at the weekend like last time.

I never want to see Everton lose and I am sure in the main most Evertonians don't either.
If honest I can see your point and even though I disagree, I appreciate were you are coming from
