Foot Long Hot Dog
Player Valuation: A packet of pork scratchings
Yawn.Well, if you think the long barren run last autumn was "very good"......exiting both cups at the first hurdle was "very good".....the reprise of the autumn shambles come the spring was "very good".....the usual tummy tickling at the "big clubs" (United excepted) was "very good".....finishing an albeit improved but still remote 7th and finishing in front of no team Moshiri would "expect" us to finish behind is "very good" then fair enough.
Now, if you can point out what part of that paragraph is "re-writing history" then go to the top of the class and collect a Crackerjack pencil.
Because they are stone cold facts, my friend.
That you choose to bury your head in the sand and ignore them is your own look out.....but be assured, our current travails are merely a continuation of the downward trajectory we have been on since we reached the heady heights of 2nd in the league after three games last season.
This season, without the cushion of a very good start, we are right down among the strugglers and if last year's precedent set by Koeman, indeed even that was pressaged at Saints the season before, is repeated then any sane Evertonian is fearful right now....very fearful
Wake up and smell the rain, sir.
We finished 7th and were 15 points ahead of our nearest rivals and 14 points better off than the previous season, that's a very good return in your first season. Yes the cups were a real disappointment, but the league result was as good as we could have expecting following the departure of El Clown Shoes and the state he left us in.
This season so far was been bloody awful and he needs to sort it or ship out, you're confusing the point I was making, you can't re-write last seasons good return as being anything else.
