To get all the UK raised players listed we needed to have at least 4 of our own - Barkley Kenny Connolly and Davies and there was no other logical candidate. No point using someone else and then drafting Barkley in if his situation changes (we are allowed a few changes)

Indeed, but football fans don't want to admit that it works two ways and clubs are every bit as snidey as the players.

Club = Good Guys
Players = Bad Guys

That's how clubs sell\spin it to the fans and the fans lap it up every single time without fail without bothering to look at the hypocrisy of it all.

Every major club is like this, they know that a huge percentage of football fans are incapable of looking past partisan bias and will always back them in these types of situations. Thats partly why we have this bs narrative of player power being out of control.

Must have had some set backs.

Coleman snapped his leg abar 3 months ago and will be back Decemberish. Bolasie did his knee in last year and is still nowhere ready

Agree he should have said something perhaps so should the club have been clearer. The annoying thing is, we always believe the worst (see Rom,Kev, Stones...) etc.
