Agreed, but that's not what I'm talking about. It's the ability to move into space off the ball, roll a marker and give the simple pass, because it gives the side as a whole the chance to move 5-10 yards up the pitch.

Instead, we're hitting loose passes and Kante/Fabregas are picking them up unchallenged, because Sigurdsson and Rooney don't move into the same space.

Tbh mate I think the way we're playing and the formation isn't working but koeman is doing this with what he has out there so far

I expected this to be honest,after playing 2 away games,then having to come here for 3rd in 6 days,,easy to tell chelsea to get at them from the off when we will be half dead from travlel

He would. He takes a ball to feet and offers himself as an outball further up the pitch and turns away from players. Rooney and Sigurdsson don't - they're always looking forward instead of back. Good at what they do, but they don't do what Barkley does.
