I have gone for Cucu.

If for no other reason I never thought he would be even in consideration for MOTM and in all likliehood will never be again.

But he played very well tonight IMO.

Well done ;)
You my friend must have been watching a different bleedin game, he was absolutely diabolical. Beach football is about his level, he was as bad as school dinners were in the seventies!

Hopefully we get Kobenhavn, Zulte Waregem and Lugano. Nice short journeys to countries that lack prowling gangs of hooligans.

...I'm getting a little bit happy with what I'm observing. I genuinely think we could be better than last season, although I'm still a little concerned with creativity, breaking in numbers and with tempo. So glad to see Sigurdsson start as a no10, it was really good to see him going beyond the CF.

Encouraging signs.

Perfect that it was Ahmed Said who missed the penalty too. That as the tw*t who DM'd the Everton fan those disgusting threats.

So glad we've knocked out such a horrid entity - fans and players.

COYB!
Yeah. Also thought it was great when their own fans started jeering him.. They're probably driviing round in groups looking to catch him on his own so they can lay into him.

Split had made up their minds to have a go at our rightside, Cocu wasn't much good but Lookman was a disgrace and he wasn't
even bothered
, give the lad a few weeks in the reserves likewise Davies. The next 3 games if we don't get a proper right back we'll
get 'ripped'. Think you're a bit hard on Williams, he was alright last season, this season he's a bit in and out, but Keane needs someone
to keep an eye on him, as he persists in making defensive errors. I'm not a great lover of Pickford, but he sure has the backing of
his defence, I felt that the defence were expecting him to save the penalty, as soon as their player shot, 4 Everton defenders were into
the box (before even one Split player) to pick up the pieces, which they did. Amazing goal from us, which was nearly
duplicated by Roo at Citeh last Monday in much the same area. Baines was tremendous as usual.

That is very harsh. Lookman is 19 and was stepping out into a pretty intimidating atmosphere. I think his nerves simply got the better of him. The whole team was very shaky for large periods of the first half, with the multi million pound buys all looking a little unsure.

On another night we could have had two pens against us and be down to 10 men within the first 25 minutes. This was not simply down to Lookman not being bothered.

I know Tom Davies is the same age but it is a lot easier to come on as a sub when the game is basically won, and just run around annoying a tired defence - a job he did very well.

Yeah saw that. It was almost a sarcastic demand for the fans to support the team "more". You usually see players signal for more crowd noise...but it's usually dons after a decent spell of pressure...not when you win a throw-in!

Or just missed a pen after fighting off the usual pen taker.

Excuse me! My sister was a school-dinnerlady in the 70s. But then again, I suppose she did later poison 3 husbands.

I suppose you're right, I was a bit harsh, I think a fortnight in the reserves would be sufficient.
