If he's that insistent about it, why not just change his name to his mams maiden name.

It's what he wants to be called though; he's said publicly he doesn't feel any attachment to the name Alli because the Alli family gave him up when he was a kid. Personally I don't mind him being referred to as Dele if that's what he wants. No skin off my nose.

IF he was that not wanting to have that name attached then he could change it by deed poll, would cost 37 quid and take roughly 3 days.
