Hope you're wrong about Kenny, but you're probably not. Hol's no RB, and being put there must be affecting his development.

He'd genuinely be my third choice CB who I'd rotate with Jags as I don't think Williams has done enough to warrant his spot. Holgate would either sink or swim then but at least we'd know either way.

I thought Kenny would be shunted out on loan a la Dowell if he wasn't being considered as a valuable squad member. I won't what's going on.

What surprises me watching us vs watching the RS is how much more space their players seem to have when attacking.
I am in no way endorsing them, but watching them v Watford it was mad to see Mane and Salah standing way out wide in acres of space and getting delivered balls to their feet from Henderson and then have them attack the full backs.
Whenever I watch us we're always fannying around, cumbersome and slow on the ball, usually looking for intricate passes and ultimately losing possession.
I'd like us to play more like them in an attacking sense. They are a joke defensively, but if we could find the space that their players manage to we'd be a lot more dangerous.

Would be great to see us really attack, tonight would be a nice opportunity to show it.

Well that's where he's natural. Wasn't it a flakey England manager that put him rb first? Anyway, sink or swim at cb where he plays best. JJ gets a shot at staking his claim with Cuco on the bench, just in case.

Exactly the same as in the last round.

They appear to be a very very organised side at the back. So it's a case of like any team who comes to goodison and sits back, we need to start early, get that goal, and settle us down.

Going forward they don't seem like a great side, but obviously if we can bag a few to take to Split, it'll be great.

Hugely important for me, that we start DCL uptop, and allow Rooney to pull the strings again, what happens if Sandro is out? Not sure, hopefully not Mirallas.

But the early goal is huge here.

One of their fans was saying yesterday that one of their key centre halves (forget his name) could be unavailable as he hasn't played the last couple of their games. Not that we necessarily need them to be without key players, but it would be a bonus I guess.
