Blues 'tracking Smyth'
Everton are said to be one of a number of clubs tracking Linfield’s Paul Smyth.

The Belfast Telegraph report that several sides including Newcastle United, Sunderland, Sheffield United and Birmingham City are closely monitoring the 19-year-old’s progress.

The Northern Ireland under-21 winger scored eight goals in 15 games for Linfield last season in their tltle-winning campaign.

Saw him play a couple of times. Really, really fast, but nowhere near PL level. He looks half decent at Irish League level but the standard is a joke. Only player to go from it and have a successful PL career in last 15 years or so that I can think of is Mccauley at WBA.

I know it's the other Ireland but how does it compare to say Coleman from Sligo?

#1 reason to bring in Tommy V

Still no luck on Siggy after 3 weeks and trying to buy an injury ridden crock to cover for an injured player and also looking no closer to signing another striker.

First half of the window was great but it feels like it's all starting to go wrong atm.

Still 3 weeks to go and to be honest if you look at all the other teams, it's almost as if there's no players available to buy, or they're all so ridiculously priced nobody wants to bid

That's a good point tbh. I guess we got spoilt a bit by how swiftly we got players in earlier.

Chelsea have bought 3 players
Tottenham have bought 0 players
City have bought 6 players
RS have bought 3 (1 was free)
Arsenal have bought 2 (1 free)
Utd have bought 3
We have bought bought 7 (2 free)

That's not a lot of players to be honest, considering we've gone over £1billion for money spent, they've all been stupidly expensive
