Got a boss job this feller, earning millions a year traveling around the world recommending players half the people on this forum were looking on us to buy anyway

fair play to him like

Really a poor window. Is he the Clown? Is it Ronald? The Board, Mosh??? We really are depressingly crap when it comes to player transfers and attracting/keeping talent. Some lies being told somewhere.... This is supposed to be exiciting times yet we can't even hold on to quality much less attract it. I don't include paying 30 mill for a relegated keeper however good he may prove to be good business when we don't even have a quality fecking striker. Joel would have done.

it's a weird one, it started off superb, losing lukaku was inevitable, it's selling him to a team who finished the place above us without having a replacement lined up is what's made the window seem so poor, if we can get a few more in it'll have been a quality window

Would be a good PR exercise by Everton to do an interview ( after this transfer window) with Walshy explaining what he's done whilst with us .Anyone else agree ?

There's really only one person Walsh had to justify his position to - the man writing his pay cheque. I don't think he really feels under pressure to justify himself to needy, self entitled fans. :coffee:

..I think Lukaku was always going to go to the team willing to meet the asking price. United might have finished a place above us but with their spending power and Manager it is always likely they will be challenging for the title this season. I wouldn't let that influence you too much.

I agree, though, that everybody was chuffed when we brought in a number of big signings early in the window. I wonder if that has been tempered more by our performances in EL than the failure to add more players.

eggsactly pal ( WAYYYY ) which is why we should have had a big name signing lined up for when he did go.

not dissing sandro btw because I think he looks boss, but he cant do it all on his own, and he is relatively young and untested

He'd rather be on the golf course or chatting to the Catalan press and putting himself in the shop window for the Barca job.
The only way he puts himself in the shop window for the Barca job is being successful at us

..I like the DoF way of doing things and I think Walsh has done well identifying those early signings, paving the way for them to be quickly acquired. Keane and Pickford were in demand but sorted just like Everton of old. Two expensive purchases but already looking money well spent. The other big money buy is Klaassen, the jury is out on him at this stage.

Sandro for £5m already looks very good business. Walsh must be complimented for identifying the release clause and getting over to Spain with Koeman. Athletico might well have been the players preferred option but once they were out of the frame the groundwork had been done.

Then there's a few promising youngsters like Bowler from QPR and Gibson from Newcastle. Onyekuru could be a talent and was in demand.

Good work so far and 22 days to go.
