So we've learned we need Lookman in the side, Kenny is our best available RB and Besic could be a classy CB.

We learned that last season. Why Ronald doesn't see that is perplexing.

And it's Rooney all day for me.

It depends. If we are playing for the counter attack, I'd pick Rooney. If we are playing with possession, I'd pick Klassen. They aren't a good pair, but each of them provide something decent in that central role. Ade really adds something with is pace albeit against a less physical side.

Notably Martina didn't look all that bad on the left, might just be wishful thinking though.

kenny and lookman very good. liked mirrallas' passion.
Cuco is getting there. One bad miss pass but he's getting in there.
Pickford was good. We've got gem there.

Besic after his reckless challenge looked so much more composed on the ball and was always looking for it. Him Kenny and Lookman should get more game time. We are gonna have some real midfield headaches this season. Schneids has been pretty poor this pre season so far for me

I ain't gonna argue with that. They're a better side than most we'll play this season, They're great in possession too. The match was played at half pace for the most part. We could have maybe had a pen, they shouldn't have had theirs. We finished with a bunch of kids after making 7/8/9? subs. Could have won it twice at the end too. Just for all the moaners, have a little think first. Also Kenny to start for me next week. Ademola and Mirallas were good too. Martina played much better.

Lookman is exciting but needs to concentrate when we are without the ball.

Still a bit disjointed but unbeaten in pre season and 2 clean sheets in competitive games is positive.

Martina is a useful cover player judging by his LB contribution.
