He clearly doesn't know his best team, and it's the defensive shape that changes the most. Highlights where the issue is, as we all know. It's a terrible reflection on the transfer strategy, especially given there was only one certain departure this summer and it happened early on. I'm preparing myself for 6 months of tight, low-scoring games.

I think he likes to use DCL as a long ball outlet out wide. Rather than having to compete with a central defender, he has to compete with a wee little fullback for aerial battles. If only that fullback would transform into a massive tortoise centerback once he's chested the ball down
