that's samir nasri with 4 goals and 8 assists in the last 3 seasons combined at 30 years of age, better than gylfi siggurdsson? okay.

Don't think anyone has said he's better..just less outlay on a player that plays in a similar position. Gyli Siggurdssons statistics aren't exactly amazing as it happens. One good year..

He's miles better, just no one wants him around a team because he's such an insufferable bell. To be fair depending on your perspective you could easily say that makes him a worse player in practical terms.

jesus, i hope we don't sell all of them, we'd go from being overstocked in central midfielders to having no depth whatsoever. players like barry and lennon and to some extent besic are much more valuable to us than the meadly £2m or £3m we'd get for them. I understand people's concerns on lack of pace, but would people be saying the same if bolasie didn't have such a bad injury? We invested heavily in him and it's just bad fortune he got such an injury, same goes to seamus as well which contributed to more lack of pace.

But i think with bolasie coming back half way through the season, we need to see how he gets on first before splashing out another £20m or so on another pacey winger. If we did that we'd have that new player, bolasie, mirallas, onyekuru, sandro, lookman and lennon as pacey wing options. That's too much then.

It is easy to be wise after the event but I was never happy with the Bolasie signing. If we are playing a 433 it is vital (even more so now we have lost Rom) that the wide forwards are productive in terms of goals and assists. Bolasie is not and has never been productive. Lennon is also limited and Lookman is extremely raw. Mirallas is great on his day but is extremely inconsistent.

I honestly think we have missed a trick not going in hard for Mahrez. He has a match winning quality and an ability to beat a man that we don't currently have. I acknowledge he struggled with rest of the Leicester team last season but we has consistently putting in match winning performances week after week in their PL winning season. He has put in a transfer request and only Roma have shown any interest with modest offers. Siggurdson is a good player but is the safe option who gives us good set pieces but not much more from open play.

Yeh I watched the Monaco game I thought he did pretty well; I was a little nervous for him playing in a two against their very good 3 (always had a massive soft spot for the way Motta plays). I forgot to look back but was it his or Fabinho's pass that set up Sidibe's goal? Mbappe started okay but he gets frustrated quickly and then his movement stops. Having said that PSG dominated the entire second half.

It was his pass mate. Would be wonderful if he ends up getting the same amount of assists as last year; and that was after an extreme form dip after having his baby. He never recovered from that.

Yep PSG is the superior team, certainly if they'll also buy Neymar.

How does he look? He's big, but I just never pictured him as a hold the line type of number 9.

If Grioud or Benteke aren't available, Willan Jose is definitely an interesting choice who brings a bit of what Giroud does to the table and I think is better than Jimenez.

Did absolutely jack for like 70 minutes then subbed off. Never thought he was anyway but he's definitely not worth the numbers quoted.

Get him signed, Mr Moshiri!

Did they miss Roscoe off those lists?

Haha! Sadly not! Ross just isn't on the same level as the likes of Gylfi Sigurðsson and Cesc Fabregas.

i felt the same about bolasie, would have taken him for half of the price we paid as a squad filler. Anyway, i thought he was really good for us and you just know it's typical of our luck that he'll come back crap from the injury.

I don't think mahrez would have even considered us tbh, think he'd have laughed at us, he feels he should be playing for a CL regular team and our fans are going to be surprised at what gylfi can actually do from open play as well, based on the vast majority views on here. Swansea set up specifically to be dangerous from set plays last season, but he was brought in when they were still a keep the ball on the floor side. Last season was a bit of a one off from him, he's a very good playmaker when through the centre.
