New Everton Stadium Discussion

If the club is to move in 2021 as has been said, the planning process needs to start probably end of this year at the latest. Think he'll be a fair way along with things by now.

He said in his interview that morgsgoat posted that's where he is... I am just taking it from the guys own mouth Dan Meis that is from his quotes.

If you had to drop a running track into Lyon's stadium, you would only be left with the top tier.

For me the only way forward is leave part of the stadium unbuilt until after the games. ie the lower end tiers.

Otherwise running track and intimate stadium are not compatible.

I would be very made up with something like this, its the Do Gremio Arena in Brazil. Yes, its a bowl and its a concept which I suppose is fairly standard in other parts of the world, but it is very impressive and sleek. We could do something like what Spurs are doing with the end stands but also include the Leitch cross trusses around the second tier. I would love it if we could have a modern interior and a classical exterior, something like this sketch maybe, using stone, brick, stained glass etc Not just a nod to the Hartley dock buildings but also to the other iconic buildings in the city.

I'm literally not arsed. It's like being arsed about how much a goalie costs as if it's coming out your own pocket.

As long as it's safe, has loads of corporate boxes to ensure our dead dodgy Russian comrades can conduct business efficiently is all I really care about.

My prediction is that there will be a lower tier around 4 sides, possibly below ground level, which will be covered with a track. There will be second and possibly third tiers around 3 sides but not behind one goal, which will allow the additional length for the track to be incorporated - possibly at ground level. The open southern end will allow for views of the docks and city centre, as Meis has done with Cincinatti.

It could potentially still be encased in a glass curtain wall that would allow the view, but protect against the wind and rain. It would also allow for expansion of that end in the future.
