2017-2018 Fixture List

In Premiership era, why is the Goodison Derby nearly always first - I think from memory - we've played Them about twice at Goodison after Christmas in the league.

I know each team is paired in the fixtures so when one is at home the other is away, but why doesn't this produce a more even split of who plays at home first?

I've heard talk that Everton wanted it this way so as to maximise attendances earlier in the season...not sure if that's true or not...but can't apply today regardless. Any ideas?

I thought it was the other way round, Anfield derby first, and Goodison derby in second half of year to maximise half-season ticket sales. Or am I chatting complete wham?

Edit - nah you're right, I was talking wham. I think it was to STOP people getting half-season tickets and instead to commit to a full ST

First game - Palace (a)
Last game - Southampton (h)
Play them - the game before they play their hardest champions league opponent away from home

I'd like Burnley Away or a home game.

Be assed with a Sunday KO for something like Newcastle or Brighton on a Sunday.

So in that case, we're getting Palace away followed by Leicester at home.

First game a trip to Wembley (Spurs away)
Last league game Bournemouth at home

Last game FA cup final win against Chelsea

City at home would do me to start with
End with Burnley away to cheer on the champs...although I doubt Burnley will hold onto 1st :p

Will be chavs (h) first 1-2.... Rom misses a PEN, then scores a injury time OG and tells Sky post match he is handing in a transfer request in the AM
