He can score form outside the box, he can arrive late into the box and score, he can score with his head and he can take a good penalty. What's not to like.

I've always seen him as a bit Cahill like. He has a good knack of scoring goals, also has a decent engine and reasonable technique on the ball. Most importantly he's a leader with a game game temperament.
Klaasen may have better technique than Cahill and can play deeper but not his aerial prowess.

He's a workhorse, as far as I know he's covered the most yardage in the Eredivisie for the past few seasons, and comfortably so. But he's also a very decent footballer technically and is intelligent on the ball. The one concern is that he's failed to impose himself in his appearances for the national team thus far.
