Someone lie to me and tell me we're signing boss players very soon and all is well with the world.

I want Sandro to sign, simply based on only hearing about him a month ago simply because he is cheap.

I worry that Sandro is getting bigged up a little too much at the minute as being anything but a cheap squad player we are bringing in. Yes he might be talented and he may well be a great player for us in the future if he does indeed sign. But this attitude is the same one applied to the likes of Robles for example, promoting them to be better than what they actually are. I would argue that him signing is meant to be part of the squad, if he comes in and scores a fair few then fantastic, if it takes him a year to bed in then so be it. If he can't play in england or just isn't very good then we can profit on him. Either way, he isn't going to be the player who takes us up a level.

He's an ex Barcelona youth player who's scored 1 in 2 at a mid table Malaga team in one of the biggest leagues in Europe and Athletico Madrid (who should know how good he is) were after him. I've no idea why you don't think this guy will be a starter for us.

I'm not actually sure what level of player you think we're capable of signing to take us up a level if you don't think Sandro is the kind of player that can do that. Watch some of his youtube videos. I'll be amazed if his goal scoring record along with his highlights doesn't convince you he'll be in the first team.

He may well be and i truely hope he is.

But using Athletico are interested in all honesty mate means nothing. That is a club who buys young players regularly whether they are an Aguero or Vietto. that is something they regularly and successfully do, turn young players into stars so Sandro is just one of many in that regard

They regularly sign young players to turn them in to stars that are capable of playing in the Champions League, so therefore the fact they want Sandro means nothing?

Your logic doesn't even make sense.

If Atletico have got a history of signing great young players and they want Sandro that says a lot.

True but we don't know who'll be departing yet. We really only have Baines, Garbutt (probs go) and at a push Galloway for LB and some ageing CB's so with him being able to do both might just be to replace those.

Or sign him and send him back to Nice for a year or two.

Maybe left back isnt the best position for me to sort of point out, as the options after Baines are pretty scarce, considering on the other side we are all hopefull of the potential of Holgate & Kenny

Galloway is sound as a back-up left back. The fact that Tony Pulis didn't rate him is actually a positive. No idea why Pulis signed Galloway in the first place. He isn't 6ft4, 17 stone and a yard-dog defender.

Gutted here. Was hoping for no transfers by end of June so your heads really start to roll and the pro scouters think they have to do the club's work for them.

Plenty of time for us to cock it up, don't stress yourself yet Chico. Especially if Wenger sees how you keep linking Sandro to Arsenal.
