Rahman would just be a capable deputy for Baines

I was kind of hoping we would go for a really top class young left back to eventually take over from him - someone in the Shaw/Tierney/Sessegnon mould

Dunno if that's realistic given all of the above would want a fair amount of first team football and Baines isn't quite ready to be put out to pasture yet

Also - I might be being thick here, but Diego?

I can go either way on Rahman to be honest and agree with you. Diego is the lad from Real Madrid, Llorente it's just his name escaped me. I think he'd go well with Keane, as would Lemos.

diego falcinelli looks badly, badly Leandro Rodriguez

DON'T DO IT STEVE

I have tracked his and Pelles career and it makes for very interesting reading my frandel.

I still think we lack creativity from our midfield three, as good as Gana, Schneiderlin and the boy Tom are. Klaassen works hard, is a goal threat and would probably fit into Koeman's way of playing quite well, but he's not naturally creative from that midfield role. He'd be a good signing but I do think we have a slight hole in our repertoire

We probably do but I think that's where the widemen will come into it. We could do with some real creativity there. As long as the midfield three get the ball forward into the right areas to do damage then we'll be fine.
