Summer Transfer Window 2017

You're probably right to be fair, he's a huge player for a good Napoli side. After this season he'll probably be sought after by a lot of clubs too.

I'm basing him as a buy just on WRD's info that we wanted him in January - he's a brilliant player so who knows.

We really need to speculate to accumulate now, get some money pumped into the squad and attract the best young players - Dolberg and Tielemans are going to be stars and their price will never be lower than it is at the moment so it's important for us to be in for these types of players.

Having a net spend of £28m and also having a huge wage increase of 300-400k per week would be a huge statement of intent IMO. The figures are less important really anyway, I meant more in that those ins and outs would transform us into a serious contender.

I wholeheartedly agree mate, in the current climate especially buying talented young players (even for decent fees) simply just wont see you losing out ultimately, and comes with the huge potential of them developing into the class of player we simply at this time can't attract, much as i hate to admit it, the rs have had two of those with Torres and Suarez over the years (and maybe now again with Coutinho) - players who at their peak (when playing for them) they would never have been able to attract. But they took the risk on them all when other teams where unsure (fair enough they have had loads of utter busts as well - although most they made their money back on at least)

For what it's worth - i think we will see a overall spend of around 150m this summer from us, a large part of which will be funded by 'none-essential' player sales, and a 'net spend' of around the 60m mark.

No way we will be buying Deeney. Whether Walsh does/did rate him is irrelevant. Being at Everton opens Walsh up to a much bigger and better market for players.

Deeney would of been Leicester level.

First things first, we need to get rid of any player who ain't committed and wants to leave. Had enough of players thinking we're so lucky to have them.

This is Everton FC. They are extremely lucky to have us.
Name some names mate.

Fire up some fume.

Hence why I would send Rom on his way soon as we are offered £85-90 million. Tie Ross up on a new deal and rid the club of the remaining deadwood like Niasse, Kone, Deulofeu, McCarthy, Jags, Mcgeady and hopefully have a good £130-150 million transfer kitty to rebuild the squad.

GK
RB
2x CB's
LB

1x goal scoring midfielder

2x centre forwards

Get those in and we'll be in very good stead for the Europa League with Coleman and Bolasie both to hopefully come back in the New Year.

A failure to sign a star name last summer will make progress to a champions league club very difficult. Koeman etc talking about 2/3 years. We are now in a position where we will prob lose our 3 young stars in stones rom and ross in 2 windows. With those 3 still here we would prob have had to add 4/5 top quality starting players to the first 11 to challange for top 4. Now we will have to add 6/8 top players to challange if rom and ross leave. Too difficult imo. Big big summer where maybe 100 mill on top of sale money needs to be spent. Cant see everton spend 200 million.
