Summer Transfer Window 2017

I think if it's a transfer window of frustration Big Ron will be away. I don't believe he'll hang around if we don't fund the project.

I also believe this will be the case. He already made his feelings clear that he wasn't overly happy that we missed out on a few key players last Summer.

I disagree about your previous post. I think there's a very good chance Mori will go, depending on his injury. Ultimately if RK thinks Mori's not up to the job. Then he's not going to keep him as 4th/5th choice. When he can potentially get over 10mil.

And with jags past his best, I think koeman will buy 2 centre backs.

i just don't think two are required right now. Williams, Mori and Jags can all share that burden imo with galloway and holgate being very very impressive nearly every time they've played, in my eyes. In a couple of years jags and williams will be retiring, we can then splash out again with hopefully a much better market open to us. Signings some like one of those three as well as a big name for centre back means we'd just have to buy another big name centre back again anyway in two years because that calibre won't be good enough if we want to be CL regulars. I really can't see us selling mori this summer and getting rid of jags would be ultimately pointless with no gain.

We deffo need new centre backs in the summer

Actually like Gibson and if been honest would prefer him over Keane plus he is a left footed player . Huge summer ahead and can see GOT crashing a few times particularly coming towards the close of the window .. ..

The team needs so much upgrading that to buy really top grade players like Van Dijlk to fix the problems would require buckets of money.

I agree that either Gibson and McGuire seem realistic bets.

I agree with you.
Big Ronnie was not happy last summer and started to get frustrated in Jan before we signed Morgan.

He will lose his s**t if Everton mess around this summer.

Complete fantasy footy stuff incoming Zat

Niasse - 10m, Deulofeu 15m, McCarthy 20m, Lennon - 5m, Mori -15m, throw in a few sales like tarashaj, McCelenny and Galloway etc - maybe say another 10m can be raised that way, Cleverley we already have an agreement for Watford to purchase at seasons end for 8m, and we could 'easily' raise close to 85m via those.

Offer Kolasanic a big wage to beat off competition - and get him on a free, Throw 20m at keane or Gibson, 50m for VVD or a similar top top level cb. and 15m on a keeper like Pickford etc.

thats the back four absolutely sorted for no net spend

we'd be left with a really strong spine of the team as good as any in the league

We'd still need a lot of investment in other areas even with all that though, right back cover maybe (Trippier?), someone who can provide goals from central midfield (Ramsay?) a striker to back up Rom and give us options (Iheanacho or Dolberg?) and someone with genuine pace who can play wide or central the way Mane can (maybe try to loan Brahimi etc)

Your looking at a huge investment needed even assuming we can get the first lot of outs and ins sorted.

As i said though it's all a fantasy footy type post as honestly most of our deals and players incoming wont have even had a mention in the media in all likelihood

@chicoazul go on mate have fun lol

Yeah, it's fantasy football but in the end that's what Steve Walsh's job is I suppose....what a lucky guy.

Niasse
Deulofeu
Lennon
Mori
Cleverley gone
Tarshaj
McAleny
McGeady
McCarthy

You'd actually not affect the squad at all (bar mori and McCarthy) and bring in perhaps 75-80 mil for them.

I wonder if we can also add the sales of Gibson and Oviedo into the pot (depending on when payments are due)?

Pickford
Holgate.....Koulibaly......VVD......Baines
Davies.....Schneiderlin...Gueye
GK -- Robles / Stekelenburg
RB -- Kenny / Coleman
CB -- Jagielka / Williams
LB -- Galloway / Sessegnon
CM -- Besic / Barry / Tielemans

That looks pretty solid to me...with depth for Europe, cups and the league.

Pickford -- 20mil
Koulibaly -- 45mil
VVD -- 45mil
Sessegnon 10mil
Tielemans 25mil

145mil which would equate to a net spend of 65-70mil....if we went for keane then it would be approx. 20mil lower which is probably more realistic.

I'd be really happy with that....
