Ross Barkley

Maybe he feels the weight of expectation at Everton is stopping him really reaching his potential a change of scenery could help.

As for people saying we have no chance next season etc etc... people were saying we had no chance of making top 4 this season before it started. We're used to it.

....Spurs are a very attractive proposition there's no doubt about that. Fine manager and a team moving in the right direction, not to mention the lure of living in the capital. The only thing about Barkley is he seems a home bird, not the cosmopolitan type to set up a life in London. Saying that, it's looking increasingly likely he wants a new start and Spurs must have as good a chance as any of acquiring him as any.

His cross was better than any Beckham (although looked very similar) ever put in.

And that's praise enough.

I'll be truly gutted if he goes. Maybe even more than when Rom inevitably goes.

But if there's a decent contract on the table for him and he's not signing it then something isn't right somewhere.

Maybe he remembers all the booing. :(
We need to show him our smooth, smooth love more.

...I agree, who knows what's going on. The club didn't seem in a rush to get into contract negotiations (unlike they were with Lukaku) and he might be miffed at that. It's naive to think other clubs have not contacted his agent, so he'll be aware of who are interested.

I'm still not totally convinced RK will die in a ditch on this one. I agree he's invested a lot of time in improving Barkley's all around game and the player has worked incredibly hard to conform to the managers wishes but we all have to accept that players will come and go. There will be life after Barkley. There will be life after Lukaku.

It's usually about the money and lukkau been offered 140k a week where Barkley would have been offered alot lower.

Plus he doesn't get into the England side which he seems obsessed over
Plus he had issues with the Everton fans , remember at Wembley when jags said to him, they are booing the gaffer not you.

He seems to have won the fans over but refusing to sign a new contract still. Strange if an Everton fan chose spurs over his own boyhood club. Who in his ear?

I just cant believe Barks is looking to go, As you said Everton are his club. I kinda always got why Rooney left, We were broke and had little chance of silverware back then but now ?? Ross must be looking for parity ...i wont believe it's because he wants off to Spurs.

It's a strange case, what is his relationship like with Koeman? He seems to have improved under him which is good.

Wonder how much we have offered him? Jamie did suggest he was off after the interview, so I recken that Barkley said he after a new start. Not sure how much we will get for him with 1 year left. Looks like he should have been sold last season.

Christ, seems ominous does this.
Can't understand the lads thinking unless the boo boys have got to him. We are his club, I presumed it would take us to get relegated before the stars were looking to go.

Lukaku took loads of stick for not signing his contract.

If this lad leaves under his own will at this point, then it will be even worst than Rooney going when he did. We don't need the money as we did when Rooney was sold.

Koeman has made this lad a much better player this season, maybe he needed some tough love. Looks like he hasn't got the mental capacity for a bit of criticism to me.

..Barkley might be an Everton fan but Everton is also his place of work and like anybody else folk get miffed in their workplace. It's not a romance it's a profession. He might sign or he might not, it's the way of things. We will pick up players who have come through the ranks and supported other clubs.

I have a feeling that RK isn't overly bothered about Barkley. It's now up to the player by the sound of things.

Look at the Spurs midfield, who would he replace ?.

They've got that 30mil clown on the bench too.

He isn't going to Spurs.

Let's all calm down ;)
