Ross Barkley

One thing he could do better is finish. The chance at 2-2 and then the hesitation second half when he could have run on to it and smashed it first time could have got him 2 goals.

If he could turn his 7/8 goals a season into 13/14, he'd be up there with the best. That and trust his ability more when he has the chance to be creative, rather than take an extra touch and wait for a perfect opening that doesn't come. The early through ball that just got away from Lukaku second half was genius and he could do it more. Personally I don't care if he cocks 4 or 5 up a few before he gets one right, he has the talent to do it often enough.

This is a great post mate. Essentially we are at the post with Ross where he needs to just cross the i's and dot the t's a bit. Yes he had his usual poor game in the derby. Aside from that though, he's working harder, giving it away less and controlling games more. He just needs to start getting the numbers to reflect this. I'd like to see more tap ins, and more headers.

Ronald Koeman was asked in his post-match press conference what the situation is with Ross and the contract offer.
The manager confirmed that a new contract offer has been made and it is entirely up to the player to sign it... or be sold.

Was just about to post this myself.

It's in Black and White - have to respect Koeman for that.

Daniel Sturridge is on £120k a week at Liverpool. Barkley is on £60 or £65k a week. Reports said we were preparing a contract of around 100k a week, but that might have been an exaggeration. We should offer at least £100k a week IMO and hope he signs it. I think we would still get £30-40m despite him having 12 months left at the end of this season.

Good to see it confirmed. It'll get signed soon.

Didnt hear that, but would be astonished if he didnt sign.

Unless he has a daft arse agent, which I dont think he has. Might be wrong mind.
