Very good point! Do you think such a deal would be as palatable for the council though? Let's be honest, it's all about the politics and by doing it this way, and providing the council with revenue year on year it makes the venture much more difficult to resist. Don't get me wrong, I'd love Usmanov heading it up but I think there are good reasons why he isnt..yet.

I realise that much of this is conjecture and opinion, but I dont believe that the steel Usmanov is involved with, is used in the construction industry.

It is mate, and it's been used in stadium construction.

Fair enough. I was under the impression they just provided the high grade iron ore that others used to create the manufactured steel components for construction. In which case, they would of course have no opportunity to set the cost to construction firms.
