New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Interesting to speculate how many of the current squad (and emerging youngsters) might be on duty in August 2020 (we'll go with that as a possible date).

Elstone winding me up with his doom and gloom about nothing certain, and a lot of hurdles to overcome, get on with it you useless t...

I always get the impression he loved the Moyes era, no money, no expectstion, no accountability, the bean counter was king there and he ruled like a dictator arrogantly dismissing fans, the council, shareholders etc. Moshiri has come in and utterly lit a fire under him, now that he can't play the 'little old Everton are lucky to have me card' he knows he's now being measured and assessed. He can't get out of his play it down mantra though.

BBC news page on the digital text service claim "it will house 50,000 seats and could host the commonwealth games" if Liverpool get it. Hope that is way off the mark as 50,000 is lower than similar and lesser clubs have such as West Ham, Newcastle and Spurs ( building a 60k to rival Arsenal). Besides who wants an athletics themed venue, which is what will be in mind if they get the games here?

Made him a director and continues to be the most important person at the club on a day to day basis.

Yeah, blood on the carpet alright. :coffee:

I think an athletics track is a no no and any hint of one should be roundly rejected by the fans just like we did with that Fisher Price badge!!

This will be our home for the next 150 years probably so it's crucial we don't balls it up like West Ham have. There are no second chances.

My only concern is the capacity, they really would be going small time with 50k it needs to be at minimum 55k but I have a feeling either the council don't want it bigger than 50k OR the money required for a 55k+ is too much for the council to guarantor or us to lend.

No doubt if they do listen to the fans they'll realise we would be disappointed with the current quoted capacity.

got to be bigger mate because I'm assuming they are going to want to have maybe 3/5k worth of corporate tickets so it wouldn't be much of an increase would it. 55k for the usual match goers and 3/4k corporate and that would be ideal imo
