Ronald Koeman discussion

Until he meets Spurs then crawls back behind the couch.

That was an odd one, I have to say. The 2 goals masked an overly defensive set up imo.

Especially when recently, Spurs have been terrified of Rom.

But this latest trot is good. See how the next 2 games pan out.

Why is that not a realistic target?

Stop getting your excuses in early for this manager. They are 6 points we need to shoot for. No more going to those grounds with Koeman and hiding behind the couch (see City, Chelsea and Spurs away)

The RS and Man U aren't pulling up any trees, so it will be interesting to see if Koeman has a go or parks the bus, will give us a bit more insight into his mentality.

Agreed. Next season will tell us whether we're actually witnessing the start of something special. Replacing Rom will be a huge challenge, but I've been impressed with his business in the transfer market: particularly offloading dead weight.
Strikers are different though. Like GKs - if you get it wrong it's pretty much curtains for a season given the cash we'll have to spend to replace Lukaku.

Frankly that's not true yet. Martinez "achieved" more. As did Moyes. We all need to keep our feet on the ground. We were knocked out of two cups early and we're sixth. I'm hopeful but let's see where we are at the end of this season and next.
But he has a logical approach to team building
He inherited a mess and now we're challenging for Europe

Koeman is on the evidence we've seen our best manager since Howard Mark 1

Bit early for that imo.

Said a few weeks after he pitched up that he comes across as competent. Since then he has shown some stones in calling the board out over Morgs, and his faith in the young lads seems genuine.

Ross has come on well, after a bit of tough love.

On balance, I feel comfortable that Koeman is our manager.

And FWIW, I dont think the Rom circus is all played out either.

We have to go at RS. Otherwise the crowd will be motivated and the players who have been involved in the car wrecks that happened over there in last 20 years will lose their spines again. Schneiderlin is a huge loss. Barry is too slow for their midfield.

We do need to at the very least show up in the next 2 aways and the next home (against a resurgent Leicester) to keep the optimism going ...we can do it imo if RK can dispel the defeatist attitude in the club against teams higher than us in the league in away games...it is a huge task imo but the ground work has been laid..we need a little bit of rich top soil to make it happen...well its spring isn't it ?? ;);)

It shouldn't be underestimated how important the bounce-back from that defeat was. It's like it never happened.

No no no no no and no again

You don't go to Anfield and attack them, They will ruin us on the break

Every lower end side has shown the way when it comes to those lot, At all costs you do not play high up and you sit deep, the first 30mins are vital as they love to start games at 100mph
