A great game of footy has just been on the telly where both teams forgot what defending is and you lot are in here talking at a spam bot trying to convince it that Ronald Koeman plays youth players.

Dowell has me in a quandary. I think his ability,vision, technique and range of passing is quite possibly unequalled by anybody in the first team squad. But then, he plays well at under 23 level, but is not towering above at other players at this level...and he should be. I don't think the manager picks the player for his team. I look at the performance by Kieran Dowell last night and I ask myself who I would take out of the first team to play him and the answer is nobody. At the moment Dowell is more Deulofeu than Barkley. I would love the see Dowell taken off after an hour not able to give another ounce , at the moment I see a player that could go on for another forty minutes or longer.

I am hoping that he was not sent out on loan as the management recognise the talent they have and are trying to turn him into the player they want.

You know when the lower teams in the division set up in baks of four behind the ball...that's when you turn to players like Dowell. You dont stick with athletes who run all day but have zero creativity to unlock defences.

This kid sees the picture before it's painted.

I dont expect him to prosper under Koeman. Experience already underlines that players of ability like him and Deulofeu and Barkley are viewed with suspicion by a manager who demands a player wring their shirt out into a bucket after the game.

Yeah, we Everton fans love nothing better than a player who strolls round the pitch doing f all for 90minutes.

Im surprised we idolised players like Cahill so much, so much wasted energy.
