There's definitely a constant dialogue and there was plans for a deal in September or so but they never materialised.

Think it was Koeman's way of forcing his hand and showing him he needs to kick or he'd get kicked out.

Now he's kicked on, he should be rewarded with a new deal. Potentially it's the Club acting like Koeman, holding out until the summer just so Barkley continues to kick on with the carrot of a new deal handing in front of him.

To me, it's only a matter of time before he signs a new deal. Probably some time before we kick off for the last game of the season.

RB has refused to talk wants to leave it till after the season is over - he may well be waiting to see if Lukaku is on his way he will follow maybe?
