If we lose tonight I am not coming on this forum. Why? Because I can't be arsed reading all the "Old Chestnut" comments that are going to suddenly appear again.

Expect to read:

"Moyes Out"
"Has Moyes taking us as far as he can?"
"The board havent backed the manager"

When in reality there is only element that can be blamed for us not progressing and that is poor ref decisions in Europe again. Oh and poor finishing by the star striker.

When I noticed that this forum was going to be the extension for ToffeeWeb I immediately realised that the negative vibe over there is most certainly going to translate over here, god only knows why the powers that be agreed to join forces with such a cynical organisation, I can't really see the benefit, unless it was a financial one. If that's the case, what can you do?

Some may say don't post on here if you don't like it, well that may well happen. Such a shame we opened the floodgates to the rabble.

Monty, when Ghost comes out and says that some of us on here are un-educated. I believe that we have a right to snipe back. It's not on that he bitches and moans all the time about crap and when people disagree with him we're uneducated and morons.

Oh yeah and another thing that pisses me off is the crap with Barry Horne so [Poor language removed] what he did some [Poor language removed] to someone yonks ago. He's a blue and you **** him off worse then Rush, Barnes, Fowler, Dalgleish or any kopite.

Up until a few weeks ago this forum was great and I was happy that those who splintered from ToffeeWeb had formed a new community that was positive and had a good crack. Since we have opened the door to the ToffeeWeb lot, who I'm sorry do come across as a bunch of idiots - collectively, and don't see beyond their knee smacking them in their own face.

So since that door has opened, this site has now started to become the same as TW Forum was. So those who wanted a different site to TW have in effect just re-created it without Garry at the helm.

I have not singled anyone out as uneducated, it is just my opinion deduced from the drivel that resides in the TW mailbag. I'm just pre-warning people that we can expect that kind of [Poor language removed] to end up here, which I'm afraid is a shame, as this forum was going places.

Yo, I gotta take exception to this "Toffeeweb lot" malarkey...

i only found out about this forum through toffeeweb, and I came here so I could talk about everton without wading through the pages of bickering and hyperbole that you get on that site. I dont consider myself to be negative or particularly hysterical. In fact, I posted one article on the TW site and all the comments were so bizarre and irrelevant I just gave up. But now you've given me a label. Are you asking me and others like me to leave?

You make good sensible football discussion posts from what i can see but you do seem to get a bit touchy if anyone disagrees.

by the way for what its worth the "old chestnuts" thread is valid, but it is part of talking about football. My personal pet hate is the scapegoat syndrome (hibbert and osman are the devil). However in my brief experience I think there is only two options here... live with it, or dont read it.

I took the second option with the toffeeweb main site.... and i also just stayed off this forum for a day or so after the first leg.

I know I find it hard to change my opinion, but then many politicians feel the same way, I'm just passionate, I don't argue for the sake of it, I just don't always agree, and I have a model in mind for how I see Everton. It just happens to differ than many people. Lets be honest that model is either un-realistic, or is enough to survive.

FCConnecticut, I haven't got personal apart from Garry, but that dude deserves no immunity from the hounds of hell, he was a nob, plain and simple and is very much responsible for the air of negativity that omitted from TW.

Also, two options Live with it or don't read it. Do you not think that is shirking responsibility? We have some new fans here, foreign fans and home based fans. Some of which may not be as knowledgable as some, with regards to how the club operates beyond the fulltime scores and terrace chants.

I think those who understand the inner workings of the club, from financial aspects to the grassroots level, it is the big picture and some opinions are not made based on this big picture. The Kirkby stadium debate is a perfect example of people not looking at the big picture before broadcasting opinions.

Guys like Bruce Wayne help us understand the financial aspects of the club, SuitsBlue has a very unique but valid view on the club, and although it doesn't always come across that way, but I do respect him. Then we have the older guys like Monty and RJ who were there when it was good and bad, then good again, and then really bad.

Many fans like Welton Toffee and Danny are too young to really remember the 85 side, and how that team became the forgotten men of English football, but they still can appreciate it from an archival view.

These are the guys I respect.

Chico and Micknick are like a soap opera, and are very light hearted.

Then we have the Americans who are doing the thing over there and spreading the word and that's cool, but what the hell is "Double Team"?

I can personally recognise posters who are amongst the one's I remember once all this forum malarkey is sent the same way Betamax video cassettes went.

So don't think that I am being personal about anyone, I just take ombrage to those who don't seem to know what they are talking about and are just making opinions out of the sky.

We all know Moyes has done a great job at Everton, and is still doing so, and will do so for the future.

We all know the board are doing their best to sort out the [Poor language removed] that Johnson created, and they are backing the manager as best as possible.

We all know deep down, that the Kirkby project is the best option for this club.

So all I am saying is, lets look at the bigger picture before we vent our fury on the very people who are trying to make our lives better.

It's therapy for all people mate, just imagine Everton winning every game they played, can you think of anything bloody worse and soul destroying than that, i cant, you have to experience losing to appreciate winning.
As long as not everybody is calling for Moyes to be sacked then it's ok, if that ever was the case on this forum then it would be a depressing place to visit.
Happily, that will never happen, on the whole we are an optimistic lot on here.

One more thing, i do agree mate that if somebody is negative and depressing about our club in every post they make then that would get on my tits as well, but again, luckily, nobody on this site is like that, and may that always be the case.

I think what I was trying to say with the "live with it or dont read it" bit is that some people dont or cant listen to other views. So by all means say what you think, and try and make people see your point, but dont be surprised of some dont or wont see the sense in it. That way lies insanity (or a busted blood vessel)

Also dont be surprised when other people get miffed with what you say - cos they might just think the same about you.

No doubt i will be sticking up for hibbert again soon, and trying to avoid getting too exasperated.

unfortunately zero you gave the game away early, to allow you to tackle certain comments of ghosts really you had to get him to be specific and actually name names.

as it stands he wrote in general terms and for my money although some words and phrases were a bit choice, its difficult to condemn him for them.

Happens "down low" a lot to big men with their back to the basket.
