Cahill's contribution.

When he goes after the World Cup, don't let me say I told you so ( months ago ).
I find it a little funny that things I was ridiculed for last year are becoming the thoughts of the general consensus today. I'm just ahead of my time . :D
Don't think he'll be going anywhere and I certainly don't agree to the general consensus of today.

I'm one of his biggest fans and I'm convinced he still has a lot to offer to our team. That doesn't mean I'm closing my eyes for the current situation. At the moment he isn't offering enough out there to be warranted a starting place. Use him as a substitute for the time being and give Rodwell an extended run in the team. Still think it's down to a bad patch of form/bad season, rather then him being 'over the hill'.

What annoyed me was the way he waltzed back into the starting lineup, and then proceeded to do nothing all game.

Needs dropping.

He has offered little this season apart from with his head. At times he has looked a shadow of the player we know and love. Moyes will never drop him OR Neville though, and i often wonder if they have it in their contracts that they play when fit.

I doubt it, I just think Moyes sees what they bring to the team, Neville his leadership, Cahill leading the line. I think next season we will see less of Neville, hes getting on a bit to be honest and I can honestly see Moyes trying something new in pre-season, something that doesnt rely on Cahill leading the line all the time.

I agree tho, neither have played as we expect this season, but sometimes its not about how they play.

I agree to a point. BUT Moyes should also be setting an example that NO players are above being dropped if they dont perform.

So you admit I was right all those months ago then?

He drops players Moyes, hes been known to "rest" them, im fairly sure if Cahill and Neville play like at Bolton neither will be in the next team, if he has other options of course.

Granted Neville and Cahill are fairly untouchable, but its for the reason I stated, they both bring a lot to the team fabric.

Fairly sure I stated that Cahill wasnt at his best and hasnt been all season.

I'll take that as an apologetic and resounding YES!

I'd have him in the starting line up too. I just think Moyes should have benched him a few times, to either refresh him or show him he's not above being dropped.
