Not sure how you've come to that conclusion. It certainly doesn't strike me as being the case on the overwhelming evidence so far.

Leicester spent large portions of last year sat back, soaking up pressure hitting teams on the counter. They were set up in a model to not lose rather than win at all costs. While they did throw players forward at times the approach was a pragmatic one especially against the top 4, where they drew or won by 1 goal in the main. If Koeman replicates it to the point where we don't lose against those 'elite clubs' and beat the rest we will be hitting top 4.

guardiola gets too much stick for being inflexible though. that guy tweaks things constantly. granted there are no huge changes in style, but he adjusts to opposition always. I don't see the same from wegner.

Leicester City won a lot of games 1-0 not 5-4 or 7-0, that's why they won the league, they had a rock solid defense, they also averaged 44.8% of the ball, 3rd lowest last year not exactly all out attack.

City play all out attack and look how there doing, lost 4-0 to us, lost 4-1 to Leicester(this season) throw a 2 goal lead against Spurs away because they didn't defend when the game was pretty much over,an they have a lot better attacking players then us. Silva and Aguero to name just 2.

I'm sure when they're finishing bottom half with no Europe that all the Southampton fans will be made up that Puel at least brought through a few kids (even if they're not good enough).

Southampton are getting worse, I think quite a few if they put their bitterness aside would gladly have Koeman back.
