Cannot get my head around why we're getting rid. That's a precocious talent that you give 30 games to to find his way - you don't just bin him off and play Kone and Cleverley ahead of him.

Sure, no guarantees he'd have come good, but you at least give a player like that the bloody chance, or what's the point?

Real shame if he goes, so much talent. Its rubbish when flair players leave Everton. Has everything apart from work rate. We should run him behind Rom for a few games, I honestly think he's good enough to indulge.
Barkley had a dreadful 2016, we needed flair and creativity and he still couldn't get a kick. He's not got what it takes. He'll do well in Italy at that pace, not here though, his career is littered with managers who didn't/don't fancy him.

We must be confident of getting someone in if he's really off. We're already short for quality on the wings as it is.

I'm telling you Ian I've got a bad feeling about this one. He's got the lot, pace, crossing, dribbling, touch. He's just a rubbish finisher with a poor attitude. Just think he might come back to burn us.

He would struggle against Italian defences imo. Why can we only seem to loan our outgoings rather than sell ffs. Niasse, Cleverly and Deulofeu.

So if he goes our wide options are:

Lennon (might as well calm him a second right back)

Bolasie (dead)

Mirallas (love him but I think he's done here)

Lookman (unproven kid one for the future)

Not filling me with confidence that

This was my thoughts when we got him back. He started last season well enough, but dropped off the edge of a cliff when it got cold, much like his first year. No one has offered a reasonable explanation why/how he's failed to get in so many different managers teams, other than the obvious one.

He was fun to watch when he was good :(

Never thought he didn't work hard, he may have seemed lazy in defense but it could be that he's just a terrible defender. For some reason its not working here.
