It was a fecked up penalty from someone that has not been playing first team football for 8 months.

Yes he should have done better, but he is nowhere near match fit or match alive.

And, "YES" Iffy

I remember he skied one against us for Boro. He is not a penalty taker at all, but took it for god knows why. Also, he has been back from his injury since November, so he ought to have been working toward fitness in the time since, secondly, injury is no reason to pile the weight on, nothing to stop him swimming and weights for upper body.
Where is the Yak that would bounce defenders off him? Where is the Yak that would out sprint and out wrestle the grock CB and blast one past the keeper?
Complacency, too comfortable, swanning around for Nigeria when "nowhere near match fit". Simply not good enough, no excuses, sort it or get rid.
The goals he has scored for us in previous seasons mean nothing this season, if it was the case then we may as well have Cottee and Linekar swanning around doing nothing for us.

I cant see DM sitting Donovan in his "last" home game for Everton.. Makes no sense, unless this is'nt his last home game...

Actually, watching the second goal again Anichebe does very well - first slowing down so that Pienaar, Arteta etc can catch up with play, and secondly the ball to Pienaar that allows the set-up.

get him gazdalf!!!

The keeper was a mile off his line for that penalty in fairness.

Other than that, Yakubu has had a good game, his hold up play makes the 451 thing work better.

Arteta is sex.

Distin is dogshit.

Weird half ruined by a mosquito biting me 5 times, searching for the little bloated prick now.

Thats what I initially thought. However, the point that Moyes is trying to restore Anichebe's confidence does make sense as he would be receiving Donovan's playing time in the very likely case Donovan returns to LA. Its a long-term move that I can't argue with it.

The cross to Arteta was real nice...

my god, arteta is playing like a god today.

He's not looked much like himself since he's been back, but I think that 45 puts to rest any worries about regaining his form of the back of last season.

utterly imperious.

he remains the very best of what we have.

Where you? Cuba or something?

i cant beleive some of the quotes over the past 10 pages.
theres not been much to be negative about imo.

arteta has been ace.
heitinga is putting in a great midfeild enforcer shift.
the defence look like they dont have to get out of first gear there that comfortable.
we are winning most of the midfeild battles and we are getting a good few chances.
our passing and movement is very good today aswell.

other than the first 5 minutes , a very good equalising goal and yaks poor penalty (which wasnt a penalty anyway) we have been quite good.
