He's absolutely slated them there. Fuming.

I like it. Hope he's allowed to spend and sell over the next two windows and volley the deadwood (Gibson, Kone etc) and the likes Funes Mori into touch.

Ah well.

There ya go.

The rest of the season will be us and Baggies locked in a tussle for the 7th Place Trophy.

The good news is that if the RS or the Mancs win the League Cup and if any of the big teams win the F.A.Cup then it won't matter if we only win the 8th Place Trophy because that will get us into the EL on account of England has an extra place from next season.

And we get to start the season in early July

The bad news is that if two teams like, say, Burnley or Hull were to fluke the two Cuos then even the 7th Place Trophy will bring no reward.

I can now relax and, in the words of Paul Weller, think about me 'olidays.

It's OK....that's football ;)

We'd always be in an around 7th with the squad. He'd have to spend money to take us a place or two higher. He didn't.

It's a clear criticism of the board in my opinion.

They haven't backed Koeman and need to do so in this window.

All this fannying around re Schniderlin is proof that the board are incompetent.

We all knew gueye was on AFCON duty for this game but the board have dragged things out so that no replacement was available.

At least he is putting pressure on the board to get signings in with his comments in last few interviews, he knows we need new players. The team is average and stale, we will get nowhere with this squad.

But we have had many useless players already. How much do we still need to invest to him?
I think 1-3 players are enough. And if nothing changes, RK should be sacked at the end of this season.
Cant build up a form of team and even the players and fans lost the confidence...

He still has my support. No question of binning him. He's been hopeless adapting this squad. He reckons we'll be flying with his own players. Ok, let's see if he's right. Over to you Mr Koeman.

Have to agree.

My worry is he'll spend £100mill and still have us 5th to 8th and maybe a decent cup run.

Will jet off to Dortmund or somewhere. Then we'll hopefully get a manager that wins things after

Tbf there is a difference between folding limply in the first round of each cup and progressing even if only a few stages further - for a start gives us more games to watch/listen to rather than than nothing other than the league to look forsward to.
I agree, I'm not happy we've gone out, I love a Wembley trip, but this is nothing new. We went one better only 2 seasons ago and went out at the first attempt in both rounds.
