You may mock mate but he's top quality. Could well be the one of the ones we'll always ruefully regard as a could've been like Robson or Clough.
Still unlike most I've warmed to Koeman, I actually like the big blunt Dutchman and believe he will lead us to world domination (inabit like ).

Koeman has neither done a spectacular or awful job so far.It's been reasonable with signs of slow and gradual improvement from the sad and sorry mess that Martinez left behind.Were in the top half of the table without playing that well over the past few months.So if we actually do click into form and hit top gear then we can put the pressure on the teams in front of us.I think Koeman could have underestimated at the time he took the job how bad a state Martinez left us in.He inherited an unfit squad who had forgotten how to defend properly as well as a squad with a few wasters who are just draining the wage budget.Howard Kendall in his first spell got off to a slow start as well before it turned around.That's something for the Koeman out crew to bear in mind.Happy new year everyone.The transfer window is open.We need to ship the wasters out and get shopping fairly lively.Of course buying players for the sake of it is not the way to do things but we badly another keeper striker and at least two midfielders imo.

He didn't go defensive he went 3 at the back and pushed up baines and Coleman hence we should have won it with the Calvin chance which came from...Coleman pushing up. You may recall RM did the same in his 1st season against the other lot. If played correctly as in Chelsea now this works well.

All we can do is judge what we've seen thus far. It's been woeful, just woeful. He needs to get the ball down and start playing and constructing moves. What player of any quality would want to join an outfit like this? We'll be shedding out quality like Deulofeu and Barkley over the course of the next 12 months. Our typical player is going to be some drone who can run and do little else. He sickened both Tadic and Mane when he was down at Southampton and he's done that again up here with us.

Still, he has it within his grasp to change his ways. Let's hope he takes it. I for one am completely embarrassed by this Everton team he's putting together. To think that football people around the world are watching us play like this is mortifying. I fear we have a huff and puff manager. Totally agree. This is something he has to undertake quickly and the concern I have is that we stumble through the season and the next season as it slowly dawns on the fan base that we need to move another Everton manager on because he is not prepared to be adaptable.

Just giving up on the team and telling them they are rubbish and will be replaced will only end in poor results and performances. It's no surprise to me that the team is only showing up for parts of the game because it appears Koeman has decided to wash his hands off a large group of players thus we get the results and performances to date.

The transfer window heads are putting all there money on a few windows of business as if this will magically fix the underlying problems. It takes great management and a team who are glued together and believe in each other to get long term success. When the new players come in and start to underperform what will the transfer heads do then...blame the supporters before they see the root cause of the issues.

Koeman has time to reflect and fix his own weakness and get us moving again in the right direction.

His method is suspect to me. I've seen it at a few of his previous clubs and it is very basic. Also the players he's targeting dont fill me with any more hope than he sees us as a Southampton.

Asking the club to break the bank for players who played for him or are Dutch based players concerns me that he doesn't have the vast majority of the current squad behind him thus he needs a few mates in his corner. It's been done before by many mangers but how long will the club and the fans put up with these performances over the next 2 years as he moves his own players in before he moves onto his next club?

It could turn out to be a very very expensive management appointment error by the club if this Koeman led project does not click.

Well don't you think he has to take some form of responsibility for not being able to get his methods across? I'm sorry but managers can't expect to just buy a whole new team every time they take over a club. They have to work with what they have got and try to get the best out of them.

We have seen the best these lot are capable of and we have seen the worst, we are currently seeing below average and in that case not really good enough.

Splurging money isn't a magic wand you still have to get a tune out of the players at your disposal. Windows open, he says he wants 4/5 in, I hope he is backed like promised.
