Just to bump things along, seeing as we are all waiting on news on this, I have just taken a look at the location and a few things I notice are the following 1) the site is about 1.5 miles from the pubs on Dale Street, we are talking no more than about £4.50 in a black cab 2) plenty of scope for disused pubs on the dock road to reopen if the demand is there, a few of them which have closed in the last 20 years are in fact still standing 3) just north of the site, is a medium size industrial estate called Sandon Estate/Wellington Business Park. Similar to around Old Trafford and Wembley, this is exactly the kind of place which can offer secure parking at weekends and evenings to those Jeremy Clarksons who won't give up their cars regardless of any other parking provision the club sees fit to offer.
