Hardly Stek's fault?
... and Walcott continued to draw wages for doing nothing at all.
Still think he should have done better.Only just saw the replay and you are right it wasn't Stekelenberg's fault. Last night, I never saw the ball hit Williams, it looked like it had gone through the wall and was a poor attempt at a save.
Not only did he take it well, I don't think there's another fullback in the league who would get himself into a position where he would have that chance. To be able to regularly get that far forward and still not get caught out defensively is pretty amazing.Big critic of Coleman, his shooting and crossing is fairly poor..
HOWEVER, was exceptional this game. Defended well, seemed to be keen to link up with Valencia (I feel for Coleman as he's not had someone in front of him who wants to combine for a while), took his goal well.

The first 5 minutes for ross were terrible and he could have crumbled, but minutes later he was spraying passes and ended up running the show. He got my vote today mostly for his mental strenght which has seemed to be lacking for quite a while.
Love to see gana stats from last night
Coleman wasn't perfect and got badly wrongfooted that almost led to an Ozil goal but ensured the squad wasn't going to go down without a fight. So him for that reason alone. Looks like he wants to captain this side.
Someone please vote for Lennon.
On a night we had eleven heroes starting the match, it is unfair he is the only one on nul points![]()

AgreeExactly this. Sick of hearing absolute 'kin jerks screaming obscenities at our players when they're in earshot by the Paddock. The bile shouted at Ross and Aaron last night in the first 10 minutes made me want to maim a few fellow Blues...they were embarrassing beyond belief.
Ross was outstanding 60-70 minutes yesterday evening - despite a few mistakes early doors greeted by disgraceful bile from so-called Evertonains he never once hid or shied away from the ball even in very tight areas, and he just grew into that game incredibly well.
