Big critic of Coleman, his shooting and crossing is fairly poor..

HOWEVER, was exceptional this game. Defended well, seemed to be keen to link up with Valencia (I feel for Coleman as he's not had someone in front of him who wants to combine for a while), took his goal well.

Only just saw the replay and you are right it wasn't Stekelenberg's fault. Last night, I never saw the ball hit Williams, it looked like it had gone through the wall and was a poor attempt at a save.
Still think he should have done better.

Not only did he take it well, I don't think there's another fullback in the league who would get himself into a position where he would have that chance. To be able to regularly get that far forward and still not get caught out defensively is pretty amazing.

That's what makes it more frustrating when he does get in dangerous positions (the defenders dont know how to defend against a full back like that) and he wastes it with a poor cross or shot.

It's not like when Hibbert mysteriously found himself in a scoring position and put in an awful attempt, nobody was surprised because he was never an attacking player.

The first 5 minutes for ross were terrible and he could have crumbled, but minutes later he was spraying passes and ended up running the show. He got my vote today mostly for his mental strenght which has seemed to be lacking for quite a while.

Exactly this. Sick of hearing absolute 'kin jerks screaming obscenities at our players when they're in earshot by the Paddock. The bile shouted at Ross and Aaron last night in the first 10 minutes made me want to maim a few fellow Blues...they were embarrassing beyond belief.
Ross was outstanding 60-70 minutes yesterday evening - despite a few mistakes early doors greeted by disgraceful bile from so-called Evertonains he never once hid or shied away from the ball even in very tight areas, and he just grew into that game incredibly well.

Coleman wasn't perfect and got badly wrongfooted that almost led to an Ozil goal but ensured the squad wasn't going to go down without a fight. So him for that reason alone. Looks like he wants to captain this side.

Let's be honest......Seamus IS the captain on the pitch. He'll lead the side in the Derby too with Jags out and Gaz Baz rested. His energy and commitment to get up and down the field is terrific.
Great to hear "60 Grand...." being sung again last night.

Someone please vote for Lennon.

On a night we had eleven heroes starting the match, it is unfair he is the only one on nul points :(

As in every game he plays Aaron put in a very consistent, hard working performance. Him and Valencia did more in one game than Paper Lungs and the Great Ego have between them all season.

Poor fella got a dogs life from the GSE for the remainder of the 2nd half, I personally didnt see the deflection till I got home, cos for some reason they didnt show any replays at the game last night on the big screen.

It looked really poor from where I sat.
