In fact, United don’t even automatically receive the 10-15% industry-standard royalty payment, no doubt because the up-front £75m annual payment is so large. United’s royalty payment only kicks in once a certain number of shirts are sold.
Well that's why I included Ibra on my very first post. The shirt selling has gone successfully. You don't actually think there are people out there who are not United fans but still bought United shirt with Ibra name on it because they are fans of Ibra. And the thing is those £89m is probably the money that we had from Ronaldo. We didn't spend much during Fergie era so it's about damn time we used the money.
