It's a results industry at the end of the day. If we don't see an improvement in the new year with some new faces then let's start worrying.

I fear though Orls that we need a playmaker in there (in place of Barry probably, although I love the geriatric heart-throb) just to play a few passes and knit us together.

Jose summed it up yday, "Everton don't play beautiful football anymore, they play direct".

If direct football was leading to points, fair enough. Unfortunately, it's bringing us eff all.

The silly thing about Jose's comment though was that they played roughly the same proportion of long passes that we did. It's what most sides (other than Arsenal probably) revert too when they are out of form as it puts more emphasis on the fight of a team rather than their technical qualities (which usually suffer in periods of poor form).

Let's also not forget that the move leading up to the Mirallas effort that De Gea saved was really quite intricate, which suggests the quality is still there. What should never have happened was, when we were in good form, we disrupted the team for the midweek game vs Norwich and have looked uneasy since. We are also not in a position as a squad, even in the good times, to carry a player as godawful as Snivelley. His win percentage at Everton must be less than 30% I would think in terms of games he has been involved in
 
It almost feels like the manager is on a game to game basis with the fans at the moment that coupled with the fact we have massive games in front of us means in the next 4 weeks means the fuse is super short.

It,s going to blow big time before the New Year arrives so the club better announce some massive transfer deals are as good as done in the next few weeks.

Firstly, Jose is only moaning because it cost them two points, he doesn't care about whether our football is beautiful - his own brand is so far from it itself.

Secondly, I can only assume he's making the comparison to the Martinez years (certainly not the Moyes years), in which case if that is "beautiful" then sign me up for some more ugly.

Definitely. It's still there.
So either the players are lacking confidence which is why we don't see that intricacy often or our dutch kingpin is sending them out to hit the ball long.
Either way, let's give him some time.
Cleverley was utterly horrid yesterday wasn't it. Christ, that bit of 'play' before Herrera hit the post... amateur stuff.
Funes Mori as well. Good god. Jags needed dropping, definitely but FM is a car crash waiting to happen.

He was answering a question about why he brought on Fellaini. He wasn't complaining about our style at all.

Ugly is yielding us naff all by the way, so unsure why you'd sign up willingly.

Let's see if he can find a balance of good football and wins. It is what he's paid for after all.

Rather dramatic as usual! Nothings going to happen and well you know it lol

Evertonian's are too apathetic and we endured 16 years of Bill / Elstone and cronies without anybody batting an eyelid.

We have a new manager in who hasn't even been here half a season yet. It's time for the bed wetters to take a step back and stop behaving like Newcastle fans for a while. Before we start a pathetic managerial merry go round due to some fans thinking they are entitled to stuff.

It's Jags or FM till January or even till the end of season. Got no choice in particular Jags was horrendous lately.

UTD were not shy of pumping a few long ones yesterday, the difference was they had someone upfront who can make it stick (Ibra) then bring the midfielders into play, then they could play there football around our box.

Cleverly PFFFFFFFFT I don't care how much experience Koeman has and how he trains with them on a daily basis, I can categorically say Tom Davies IS a FAR FAR better footballer than cleverly. FACT!!!!!!!!!!!
