That disappoints me too. Love everything I've seen him in. Why was he bad mate?
I've seen Reg live twice. Both shows very similar despite being years apart. He's a quick witted, amiable guy on the TV programmes, and I guess he still is in his live shows, but he just doesn't really have the ability to hold a full show. It became a rather tiresome 'recollection of growing up in a black household' show which is far from original.

I think 'disappointment' is the right word. Not unfunny, just not as good as you'd hope.

Rob Beckett is the prick i was thinking of. Russell Howard used to be alright on Mock the Week when he had Frankie Boyle to bounce off.

Exactly. His observations on Brits is very good mind.

I can't understand how Russell Howard has been a success but I saw Rob Beckett live at the Edinburgh Fringe a couple of years ago as Mrs L likes him and he was actually quite good and to his credit he came off stage, ran downstairs to the small exit, shook hands with and thanked everyone personally for going to see him which I thought was a nice touch.

All of them who have to base their act on the fact they are black/jewish/a woman/a black Jewish woman..... you get the picture
