I think it's gone well past that. They are basically taught how to do the job from the age of two. If we had a PM that had the same level of training I'd be happy.......

But would should that 2 year old have such a privileged lifestyle ahead of a kid from Croxteth or Armagh?

True. I love politics though, especially the debate. Irish politics is unfortunately deadly. On a wider scale, voters underestimate the power they have and vote as creatures of habit. Change is there if you want it.

I just don't get the concept that one human being is more important than another because of their "birth right".

Neither do I, but then again I struggle to understand why a freely elected government would do stuff like this.

Profound. I think the key to politics is stepping back and actually listening to people. Set your party aside, listen to what people are saying.

"Very good figurehead" is pushing it a bit, what has she actually done of any merit which gives her such an accolade?

Well, unlike parliament, she acts with a sense of dignity, duty and isn't a cats bag full of lies and deception when she speaks. She draws respect from the colonial children who rejected our monarch in a fit of pique two hundred odd years ago, and brings in a decent amount of tourism.
Don't get me wrong, I am not a Dan of monarchy per se, I'm just saying that having a job thrust upon her it us hard to criticise the way she has gone about it.
The only monarchy I cold truly get behind would be if I were King, and I would abolish parliament and demonstrate to the world the effectiveness of an incorruptible, benevolent dictator.
