Ronald Koeman discussion

That never went away, it wasn't Moyes that bred that, it has come from above the manager. It's the whole culture surrounding the club and those that run (or ran) it.

Really? The knife to a gun fight, get out of Old Trafford alive, absolutely shocking derby record over a decade? Bottling huge games?

Nothing to do with Moyes?

The same board above him were above Martinez who was the polar opposite to Moyes.

In terms of progression...fully blame the board. In terms of plucky Everton, Moyes has a huge part to play in that.

I'd say most would agree that the board AND Wee Davy both played a huge part in making us the Haven't They Done Well type club that gets patted on the head by much of the media.

I don't, I hold exactly the same position as @ijjysmith in that I'm just seriously not arsing myself about the comments because it practically means nothing. It's obvious to all of us that Lukaku isn't seeing out the rest of his career with us and he will move on to better things. Would I personally have said what Koeman did if I was manager? No, I wouldn't. But it really isn't worth getting as angry as some people in here about such a non-issue, it'll be forgotten about completely in 2 weeks.

It will probably blow over amongst us, don't think the media will stop bringing it up at every opportunity though mate, which wouldn't normally bother me, but it just makes us look like we've got no aspirations, what we need is something solid to come about the new stadium.

We have a billionaire and have seen less investment into the squad than we had before he arrived. Now we have a manager advising our players to leave us for bigger clubs.

That's a definition of strange right there.

They did say 'Nothing Will Be The Same' Dave....

How does replying to a poster mean that, I thought the topic of a forum is that you discuss things with people? Am I obsessed with you now because I'm responding to your posts? Dave happens to make me laugh a lot more than anyone else around here, just the way it is Friend.
I enjoy @Prevenger17 's insightfully witty contributions . And @peteblue can often elicit a guffaw from me.
In fact, I am generally impressed with most members' postings.
The Everton supporter base, as represented on GOT, is pretty intelligent.

Agree ijjy that the media will always speculate about Lukaku, and Lukaku himself doesn't help, but what Koeman has done has give them something solid to go on.

I wouldn't be surprised if Koeman ain't too fussed about Rom being sold - as in he wouldn't fight to keep hold of him.

Reason being is that he's not entirely the right striker to play his brand of football.

"What he's saying is what a lot of Evertonians are thinking."

Ha Ha Ha.

Yeah, ok "George".
I read yesterday the etymology of the word 'geordie' - supposedly it's derived from their support of George I (House of Hanover)in the Jacobite (House of Stuart) uprisings in the early 1800s,
