What the he'll did I miss today?
He didn't say that though.
He literally said Rom wouldn't be fulfilling his potential if he stayed at Everton all of his career.
That's true.
He should not have said it, his job is take Everton forward on and off the pitch, he has once again made us a laughing stock with some ill timed comments, we employ him to take us forward. unacceptable in my eyes.I'm not convinced his comments have been presented in the way they were said, or meant.
Ultimately, is there an Evertonian alive who thinks Lukaku is here for the long haul....or any player for that matter. Players and managers are transient....only supporters remain.
Just read those comments. A stepping stone manager for what is now seen as a stepping stone club. We'll never get to the top with this mentality pervading through the club. Get a proper Evertonian in who recognises that this club should be the pinnacle of his life's work not a dress rehearsal for the Barca job.
But Roy Keane coming out and taking the mick out of us is absolutely fine and good on him for speaking the truth.
BREAKING NEWS:
Manager thinks player with potential to be world class is too good for Everton.
Everyone making such a big deal out of his comments. Jesus wept he's telling it as it is.
Quite belitiling? this is a fella that has won titles as a player and a manager, a manager at a "smaller club" finished above us in his 2 seasons in england, a manager that has played for Barcelona, Ajax and one of the best Netherlands teams in history.
You think he views Everton, a team that has won 1 FA cup in 28 years and 0 trophies in 21 years as a big enough club for a player of Romelu Lukaku's calibre.
Ron is a realist, his ceiling is very high and at the moment we are on the carpet!
Think the problem is twofold. He's too honest for his own good. And he's not been here long enough to "get" Everton or the fans. I doubt he ever will even if he sees out his contract.
Dutch Moyes doing the Moyes thing of undermining the club hes at and downplaying expectations.
/runs.
Nope, spot on.
He'll be talking about a clog to a gunfight soon.
He doesn't look like he's arsed about being here, lacks any real passion for the job. The warning signs were there when he could barely be bothered to miss a couple of days holiday to sign his deal and then immediately jumped back on a plane. Tit.
I never know if you're serious, but it's spot on all the same.
His career > Everton's fortunes.
