I think people need to get a grip.
Moshiri, in his first genuine public utterances this week sounded almost in awe of Koeman, after spending what he did to tempt him to Everton then anybody thinking that he is now considering getting rid of him is in absolute dreamland.
Before last Saturdays disaster we were moving along nicely with a mixture of good and bad performances but in general I think most were happy with sixth place at this stage of the season.
The Everton squad is very much a wip with Koeman it will take another couple of windows before we see the kind of team he really wants to put out.
If Everton are to be a really top club , then I think that fans must realise we have to leave the folksy, small time club attitude behind.
Koeman is a mercenary and will leave before many very long, but already I think he has introduced a different less sentimental attitude to the club. Young players will have a harder time getting into the first team and underperforming players will be ruthlessly shipped out.
