Man City 1-1 Everton post match

We've laboured against Bournemouth Norwich and Palace so all of this 'not every team will be City' is a bit irrelevant. Points are points against anyone and today was an opportunity at 1-0 up and with 2 penalty saves in the bank and 15 mins on the clock left to frustrate City and win the game. As soon as we were in front though the backsides fell out of Coleman Jagielka Barry and a few others, they just couldn't handle it. As soon as we were back level and plucky little Everton were back to stealing just the one point everyone in the side looked a lot happier and we saw the game out easily. Good teams win that game, regardless of what had gone before. We've ocme away with a point but a different day and we definitely don't.

Look at it this way, we went there with the sole intention of sitting deep with 11 behind the ball, we had two holding mids and a centre midfielder on the wing, we took of nearly every attacking player we had, we saved two pens and pulled off a series of wonder saves, and we still only clung onto a point. How far away does that show us we are from doing what Spurs or even Celtic did and match them properly in a game?

I think its still quite a good sign for Koeman as he's built up a good defensive platform but it just shows that unfortunately he's working with for the large part utter dross with no mental fortitude whatsoever.
Look who is aligning with you. We got beat by Sunderland 3-0 five months ago.

Good result but it was embarrassing watching that.

City showed us no respect and wanted to give us a hiding and we looked petrified

Our midfield is shocking. Only Gana is worthy of the shirt. I honestly think it might be the worst in the league. Thankfully we have Rom and a defense.
Thankfully we had a GK on top form. As said, hats off to him.

How predictable. Out of interest, what result would suit you at Burnley next week?
I'm sorry it's just the fact you been a member for 8 years and have 9 likes that sets alarm bells ringing when you come on to slate us after an unlikely point away to the best team in the league. But I must just be overthinking, it's been emotional.

Not a bad result overall but lets not forget Martinez got a 0-0 there in the league in January yet we were still awful thereafter. Must improve performances otherwise there will be more defeats than wins in the coming weeks.

The players they have, the coach they have and the football they play, I never thought we could. Did you?
No. Not toe to toe. I did expect a bit more attacking intent though. The first half especially was embarrassing knife to a gunfight stuff.

Embarrassing watching?

Embarrassing watching??

How long have you been a fan of Everton?

I can only assume you didn't watch any of these

Everton 2-3 West Ham
Liverpool 4-0 Everton (not the first 4-0 the second 4-0)
Leicester 3-1 Everton (after they'd been in the piss all week)
Sunderland 3-0 Everton (currently rooted to the bottom of this league)

My god, embarrassing.

They were humiliating to watch

You forgot Norwich and Bournemouth this season

You can still make it your night. Keep working away my friend.

Make my night? It wont be made by hanging on for a draw at City, nor will it be destroyed by it.

Decent enough point: hopeless performance.

I think that just about covers it.
