This is my Verdict on the general outcome of our first 7 league games.

1. I still trust Koeman to get it right. With the Saints he had a poor start and turned around their season. We have picked up 14 points and if we can get it right soon we can still finish in a solid position.

2. We need reinforcements badly. New faces , stronger mentalities quality backup players. I'm sure we are all aware of this issue. No more BS Moshiri get those players in.

3.Attacking play is ineffective. Very static upfront and nobody wants to move and open up some space. I enjoyed Martinez first year due to our ability to slice teams open with ease. We have struggled in this aspect for 2 years now.

4. COYB , get behind the team and stop with the boo's rubbish.

That second half was rank bad.

A long old season ahead

Yet we still created a lot late on - and trust me Tim Iroegbunam wasn't happy after the break.

Absolute sitter for Gana, again set up by that man with 'no end product'.

It needs to click for a full game, and it will.

We're grafters that's for sure. Maddeningly inconsistent with the ball.

Think the same can be applied to us mate!

But you've got a huge, physical side, and that's enough most of the time, especially with players who can play.

Over-reaction on here will be huge, as always, but that's a fair point, all in all.

If the team has been working on shape all week in training what the hell waa the second half about, a times it was Martinez esk with it being wide open in the middle of the park- end to end. Shocking. At least Koeman knows now what he needs in January

Problem is, we should be including Bournemouth and Palace in the favourable run, yet we've claimed 1 pt from 6. We've still got Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal, City, Leicester and the RS at some point, and that concerns me greatly.
We just have to hope we will Nick a few points in those games however the gulf in class between us and them is massive.

I wonder once McCarthy is back would it not make sense to drop Barry, The extra legs may allow us to play Barkley and two wingers.

It would also mean that our best player wasn't playing. If fully fit and in form (which he nearly always is), Barry starts. Simple.

no mate but playing tom clevery who is absolute Shiite on the wing with a piss poor bench.

He didn't play on the wing. He played in midfield. And he was one of our better performers. He's hated for been a steady performer.

He came in today and did what was required to help the team and there's a reason Koeman started him - because he's reliable to do just that in a difficult game.
