Koeman has said Cleverley is in to 'make us more compact'

His call. We'll see how it turns out. COYB
He's in for exactly the same reason Martinez played him whenever he was fit. Deulofeu, Mirallas, Barkley and Lukaku all can't defend.

Barkley and Lukaku are untouchable so that means dropping Deulofeu and Mirallas against half way decent teams. Against turd one of them can play but even Koeman refuses to play them both at the same time. It's a situation not helped by the aging legs of Barry.

Martinez was exactly the same.

At some point if two different managers see exactly the same thing we may just have to accept it.

Personally I think Barkley doesn't produce enough to be a luxury. Deulofeu and Mirallas create more chances although after Bournemouth neither can have any complaints.

Good interview this with Lukaku, great attitude
Hope you enjoyed it. He'll be leaving in the summer to move to a bigger club who actually win things.
We've got a diamond called ross barkley? Well, if you consider a cubic zirconia a diamond, then yeah sure, we've got a diamond.
The summer was awful, we signed bolasie for a fortune and everything's going down hill from here.
If we lose tonight, just goes to show that Koeman is clueless. Tom cleverly on the wing? Nothings changed, more of the same old same old.
Fuming. Lets give up our place in the premier league, we don't deserve it.

There's just nothing to be optimistic about, we're all gonna die in the end anyway, what's the point?

Giggidy.

COME ON YOU BLUESSSSSSSSS

Cleverley isn't as bad as you lot make out. If you just expect him to sit and sure up the wide areas, he's OK at that.

He's just not very good offensively, that's all.

Obviously I'd rather he wasn't at the club right now, but I can understand him playing ahead of Mirallas with Oviedo as the full back.

Mirallas needed to sit. Clevs should give us more possession and is fairly disciplined positionally and defensively though he's not very good at tackling. Mirallas is much more reliant on pace to close down and I think that might've been a problem for us the last game!

Apparently Mark Rattenburg has gone down with a dose of the Leon Trotsky's, and can't ref this one tonight.

So we are in with a chance.

Martinez did the same to Kev last season. It offered more freedom to Barkley.

Could go that way.

Oh yes he is. Probably worse, given the opportunity.
