Only a tenuous link with Everton, but my cousins father in law played for Sheffield Wednesday in the 1935 Cup Final(Won 4-2). He eventually returned to his native Scotland and scouted for a few clubs including Everton.

No, although I did get a lift to match once with one of Dixie Dean's relatives

We were both supposed to get the train to Hull from Manchester to the last game of the 13/14 Season, but they cancelled the train and we met randomly at the Customer Service Desk trying to find alternative transport

A Super Blue called Harold, who was also supposed to get the train, had parked his car up nearby and agreed to give us and the lads mate a lift. Never met any of them before and don't even remember the lads name now
