Ross Barkley

Everyone saying Ross is only a kid and only learning. RoKo saying he's not a kid anymore and needs to show improvment to stay in the team. Lets see how Ross reacts, did ok today.

He did well over the 90 in the end.

Still think his shooting over passing is a liability at times, as I said in February against better teams that costs us.

But got a manager now who will tell him that. He can only get better

He's not a kid. There are many players who Ross is often compared to or mentioned in the same breath with who had done a whole lot more by the age Barkley is now. Granted, different players develop at different speed, but just putting things into context. Barkley should be be approaching the peak years of his career in the next 5 years, not still thought of as a young and upcoming player. If it's going to happen for our club, then we need Barkley to step up to the plate and become a man, not turn into another Anichebe.

Ross smartly, looked confident and not under pressure. I wonder if there is any difference between what is said behind closed doors as opposed to Koeman's public utterances.

Time to take him out of the spotlight, he's been over blown by the media and we all expect too much, he's very good bordering on great but there's a way to go. Today would suggest our manager knows what he's doing, I vote we leave it to him to sort Ross and get behind them both, after all what have we got to lose? For those whoppers who keep trying (and will continue) to pick fault in Koeman's handling, I suggest you shut it for now or grab some humble.
