Vaughan was the one that made me sad. Had everything and was seemingly a top lad. Wanted him to succeed so much, but he was truly made of glass.

That said he's had some good spells in his career and he's gone on to make what I can only assume is a very decent living out of the game, so it's certainly not the sob story it could have been.

Still think he could have been a decent CB but when he first broke on the scene he seemed to have everything, fast, good technique, bullet shot off either foot, physical, tall. What a shame, just didn't have 'it'.

It's because he is massively injury prone and far too much of a 'nice' guy, no aggression in him whatsoever. His next club will be in the Championship for sure. Waste of a talent though, was tipped as future England captain at one stage.
